The Institute of Travel and Meetings (ITM) UK & Ireland has announced a new keynote speaker for ‘Intelligence 2011’, the association’s annual conference at Heythrop Park, Oxfordshire, 5th – 7th April 2011.
In addition to Ian Goldin, Director of the Oxford University’s James Martin 21st Century School, the association has invited Carolyn McCall, CEO of easyJet, to address delegates in the initial session entitled ‘Thinking Big’.
Ms McCall joined easyJet on 1st July 2010 as Chief Executive Officer, previously having been Chief Executive of Guardian Media Group plc.
She has also undertaken roles as non-executive director of Lloyds TSB, Tesco Plc and of New Look plc and was awarded the OBE for services to women in business in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List in June 2008.
ITM has also announced the closure of registration as the annual conference is sold out, the first time since 2008 when it was held in Dublin, Ireland.
Speaking about the new speaker and the full capacity, Jamie Hindhaugh, ITM Chairman, said, ”We set out to create an intimate and exhilarating event with fantastic speakers and to ensure we were fully registered in advance so we could spend time making the event as good as it should be rather than spending time filling excess capacity. I’m delighted we are at this stage and look forward to a fabulous event.”
