The Association of Irish Professional Conference Organisers (AIPCO) has announced that Conference Organisers have joined as an associate member.
The association has seen rapid growth in the last twelve months, with Conference Organisers becoming the third associate member, joining the six existing full AIPCO members.
Rachel Kinlay, Creative and Strategy Director of Conference Organisers, said "We’re delighted to become a member of AIPCO. After many years in the industry it is fantastic to get the recognition from our peers and become part of an association that benefits its members so much. I and my team are looking forward to working together with my industry colleagues in our continual goal to improve Ireland as a world-class meetings destination."
AIPCO aims to serve its members by acting as a knowledge resource and also providing them with promotional support. It works closely with Fáilte Ireland, Tourism Ireland and the Dublin Convention Bureau (a division of Dublin Tourism) in developing Ireland into an International Conference hub.
Nicola McGrane, Chairperson of AIPCO, said "Through the top-class meetings that they have managed, Conference Organisers have demonstrated why they have joined AIPCO, where we only accept the highest of standards. This landmark is another step on the road to making the work of AIPCO members the benchmark for the industry both at home and abroad."
The move to expand AIPCO membership is part of the recent efforts to build a clear and comprehensive offering for international associations who wish to host their meetings in the country while also conferring its members with minimum standards of service, recognised through the AIPCO Quality Assurance Mark.
