The Brisbane Convention Bureau has once again brought Team Brisbane together for tradeshow success at Event ConneQion this April.
With collaboration and cooperation on their minds, more than 26 business events operators converged on the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre and united under the Team Brisbane banner to showcase Brisbane’s appeal as a business events destination.
Brisbane Marketing Director Business Events, Annabel Sullivan, said Event ConneQion was a great opportunity for the Team Brisbane players to connect with the local market.
“Many event organisers are now looking to keep their events on home ground and this was a great chance for them to rediscover Brisbane’s brilliant business events offer,” said Ms Sullivan.
“We were really pleased with the number of visitors to our stand and the Team Brisbane hosted lunches proved to be an immensely popular networking opportunity.”
Ms Beth McDonald, Client and Business Development Manager at Hillstone St Lucia said the quality of enquiries at this year’s Event ConneQion were just as good or even better than in the past.
“There is almost a “new discovery-thing” happening in Brisbane for prospective clients, local or otherwise and Event ConneQion shows that Brisbane is very much open for business, more than ever,” said Ms McDonald.

Many operators offered great giveaways and prizes across the two day tradeshow including Tébu Teambuilding & Geronamo Events and Central Bardon Conference Venue who teamed up to offer one visitor a conference package at Central Bardon Conference Venue for up to 20 participants including conference room hire, full day catering and a teambuilding program.
