Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre has been conferred a Silver Award for “Best Overseas Conference Centre” at the Meetings and Incentive Travel Industry Awards in London earlier this year.
Suntec Singapore is the first Asian and only non-European venue to win this coveted title.
The Meetings and Incentive Travel Industry Awards is the oldest and most established awards programme in the meetings industry.
It brings together various sectors of the MICE business and rewards excellence in service and product offerings. Voting is cast by the readers of Meetings & Incentive Travel magazine.
The Meetings & Incentive Travel Industry Awards gala presentation dinner was established in 1988 and is held in February each year.
Simon Halewood from Janet Sealy Partnership, also a Marketing Representative for Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre in London, collected the award on behalf of Suntec Singapore.

This award reaffirms our commitment to raising the bar of excellence for ourselves and for our industry,” said Pieter Idenburg, Chief Executive Officer of Suntec Singapore.
Since opening in 1995, Suntec Singapore has cemented its position as Asia’s foremost event venue with an enviable list of local and international awards and accolades.
Most recently, Suntec Singapore triumphed as “Asia’s Leading Conference Centre” at the World Travel Awards 2006, 2007 and 2008 and “Best Convention & Exhibition Centre” at the TTG Travel Awards 2007 and 2008.
