Staging Connections hosts MEA event at new Port Melbourne premises

Staging-Connections-PremiseThe cream of the Melbourne events industry turned out in full force recently when Staging Connections opened the doors to its new dramatically lit Port Melbourne premises to MEA members on 12th August 2009.

Staging Connections took the opportunity to host the MEA Networking night for local event industry members to showcase its new Event Staging Centre of Excellence which doubled as an intimate and professionally staged 'house warming' event.

In an outstanding display of creativity in event lighting, the Staging Connections' office building was illuminated in its corporate lime green colour, using the resources of sister company, Bytecraft Entertainment.

However, the imaginative lighting displays were not left to the external façade of the building as Bytecraft Entertainment added its expertise internally as well, transforming the new showroom into an LA Club featuring lots of blue lighting and a striking waterfall image.

Bytecraft Entertainment also showcased a technology display in the warehouse featuring a showgun, mono block and a 2m tower of LED screens.

In a strong display of its Styling and Design expertise, the showroom also featured props, lounge and bar areas and exhibition booths.

Five plasma screens featuring a segment of a waterfall image on each screen highlighted the use of technology to great effect while creating an impressive visual impact.

The waterfall image was also projected on a feature wall in the theatrette, creating a digital back drop where the presentations took place.

As well as a showcase for its new premises, Staging Connections used the event to launch its new Webstream and Video Production service as well as its Exhibition services.

The formal part of the evening comprised of Susan Ryman, Kiernan Chair of MEA Victoria who introduced Haig Walker, Staging Connections' Regional General Manager - Southern Region and General Manager of its Melbourne operations.

Staging Connections' new Head of Production, Ian Kirkwood also spoke about the Company's new Webstream and Video Production and Exhibition services and the value these services bring to clients' events.

To more effectively demonstrate its Webstream and Video Production service, the event also included a streamed broadcast featuring Staging Connections' Director Sales and Marketing, Philip Black and MEA CEO, Linda Gaunt announcing that Staging Connections' has re-signed a two year national partnership with MEA.

Haig Walker said that the evening, which concluded with a warehouse tour, was a great success and thanked MEA as well as the Staging Connections Melbourne team for uniquely presenting the Company and its services for this significant local industry event.
