Staging Connections Group CEO Tony Chamberlain has signed up for the St Vincent de Paul Society CEO Sleepout initiative taking place on 18 June at Luna Park, Sydney.
Tony and over one hundred other business leaders will sleep out in the cold in an effort to experience homelessness and raise money for many homeless Australians.
Through his business contacts and colleagues at Staging Connections Tony hopes to raise money and in the process, highlight the plight of homeless people.
Tony will produce a video diary of the CEO sleepout so that business colleagues, the Staging Connections community and family and friends can follow his experience at the event.
While the night will be a little uncomfortable, Tony’s main aim in participating with this event is to leverage his business contacts by asking them to support this worthwhile cause.
As well as Tony’s personal pledge to sleep out in the cold, Staging Connections will support its venue partner, Luna Park, in terms of providing full event staging facilities and personnel for the CEO sleepout.
The money raised through sponsorship and donations will assist the St Vincent de Paul Society to provide relief to the homeless through crisis accommodation, domestic violence support and access to budget counselling and legal advice and educational programs.
