An innovative digital signage unit that can automatically download content from corporate websites and networks has been introduced to Australia's exhibition, shop fitting and display industries by Octanorm Australia.
The company today announced the addition of the Multi Media Player 2 (MMP2) to its extensive product range, solidifying its position at the forefront of innovation in display.
Developed by Stockholm-based LAOPAN Technology, a subsidiary of Octanorm Nordic, the MMP2 features a high definition screen, wireless controls, touchpad interface and file hierarchy that enables the unit to play up to 155 movies in total.
Users can operate the MMP2 using Internet Explorer or schedule the unit to automatically download content from a website or FTP server.
A built-in USB to USB function also allows users to connect up to six screens to a single computer and display the same or six different movie presentations.
"The prototype MMP2 was unveiled at EuroShop 2008, the world's largest trade fair for the retail industry, and its arrival in Australia opens up new creative possibilities for digital signage at exhibitions and events, and within retail spaces," said Bruce Rayment, CEO, Octanorm Australia.
Easy to assemble, the MMP2 features a sleek aluminium frame with an Octanorm system groove and is fully compatible with Octanorm display systems for the exhibition, shop fitting and display industries.
"Standard shell schemes and basic shopfit designs are becoming a thing of the past and Octanorm Australia is constantly adding cutting-edge products, such as the MMP2, to its extensive range to ensure customers have the tools to realise their imaginative display ideas," said Mr Rayment.
