Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), located at the heart of the city’s Central Business District, remains the venue of choice for local, regional and international events.
And not one to rest on its laurels, the Centre actively pursues opportunities to provide clients with creative, flexible and value-added solutions which meet their evolving needs in today’s challenging and competitive environment with the “We Have A Deal For You” campaign.
The Centre’s “We Have A Deal For You” is a unique and creative value scheme which aims to provide clients with more choices and options whilst catering for different budgets, size and types of functions.
“We Have A Deal For You” draws from the Centre’s existing resources to offer five innovative value-added propositions; TenOnCall, the Rewards Programme, Day Conference Packages (DCP) for Auditoria, the Conventions Value-Add Programme and the Exhibitions Loyalty Programme.
Capitalising on the existing 10 meeting rooms on Level 4 of the Centre, TenOnCall offers a differentiated meeting experience, where clients can walk in, execute their meetings within the next hour and enjoy complimentary free-flow of lifestyle cuisine and signature beverages throughout the booking duration.
To sweeten the deal, the Centre is rewarding every accumulated booking of 100 guests with a complimentary meeting of up to 10 guests at TenOnCall.
Introduced for banqueting events at the Centre, the Rewards Programme offers clients reward points, calculated based on 10 percent of the total food and beverage cost to redeem for the Centre’s Creative Services (sound, lighting, video, decoration enhancements and theming).
Attractively priced at between 30 – 50 percent below the current market rate, the Creative Services are presented in a ‘pick and mix’ format for added flexibility.
Taking a leaf out of TenOnCall, the Day Conference Packages or DCP for Auditoria offers a choice of set lunch or standing buffet packages for large-scale events held at the 500-seat Plenary Hall and 3,000-seat Plenary Theatre.
A key differentiating factor for this deal is that clients are given a flexible option of a standing buffet at the venue’s foyer, which is more cost effective and helps facilitate better networking among delegates.
Going the extra mile for meeting planners, the Centre is offering the Conventions Value-Add Programme worth an estimated RM 60,000 (USD 17,175, EUR 12,320, AUD 21,991) for all international association meetings held at the Centre.
In addition to hosting of site inspections, the enhanced deal for conventions comprises the Cultural Showcase of 6 Malaysian arts and crafts, pre-function meetings plus a cocktail reception or a press conference hosted by the Centre.
As an incentive for exhibition organisers, the Centre has also introduced the Exhibitions Loyalty Programme worth an average of RM 50,000 (USD 14,164, EUR 10,226, AUD 18,316).
In addition to the 5 percent loyalty reward based on venue hire for the subsequent show, organisers will enjoy the use of a complimentary press room, a VIP lounge, organiser’s office, venue for a pre-function event, a coffee machine and 400 cups of coffee plus an exhibitor briefing hosted by the Centre and 50 percent discount off the venue’s rack rates for move-in/out days.
According to the Centre’s General Manager, Peter Brokenshire, ”As the country’s leading venue for meetings, exhibitions and events, we realise the need to be proactive in responding to the challenges of the meetings industry with creative solutions, flexibility and value-for-money propositions. We are fortunate that the versatility of our meeting spaces and operating structure allows us to constantly innovate with product and service offerings to meet evolving market demands”.
