Sofitel Sydney Wentworth hotel has welcomed Ms Kristen Hruby as Business Development Manager, MICE
In her new position, Ms Hruby will focus on the luxury CBD hotel’s strong meeting, incentive, conference and event markets.
Prior to her role at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth she worked in various event management, wedding specialist and BDM roles for several major hotel and tourist operators including the Dockside Group, Sea World Resort, Sporting Spectrum and Fresh Catering.
Previously, Ms Hruby worked for Accor Hospitality with experience across several hotels including the Novotel Sydney Olympic Park, Mercure Hotel Parramatta and Novotel Manly Pacific, and departments such as sales and events, front office and reservations and client services.
Sofitel Sydney Wentworth is back at the top of Sydney’s five-star hotel list, winning the title of “Deluxe Hotel of the Year” in the 2008 Australian Hotel Association (NSW) Awards after a $10 million revitalisation.
A long-time institution in Sydney, the Wentworth upgraded more than 100 rooms and suites to Club Sofitel status, while the hotel’s entire fifth floor has been redeveloped to create a stylish executive lounge called ‘Club Sofitel’, and a spectacular new restaurant Garden Court, both curved around the urban oasis of the hotel’s rooftop courtyard.
