Exhibition Hire / ExpoHire is celebrating its contribution to the record-breaking 17th Asia-Pacific Incentives & Meetings Expo (AIME), following the success of its elaborate custom built stands for Etihad Airways and Hilton Sydney.
A stream of visitors passed through the Etihad Airways exhibit at Melbourne Exhibition Centre, admiring a stand that stretched two storeys high and incorporated a replica airport lounge and Formula One model car.
For its debut at AIME, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates enlisted the help of Exhibition Hire / Expo Hire to build an eye-catching stand that would highlight the carrier’s premium international airport lounges and sponsorship of the Ferrari Formula One team.
Built to shopfitting standards, the completed stand was among the most popular at AIME 2009 with Etihad’s cabin crew serving champagne and canapés to visitors in the upstairs lounge area.
“The double storey stand was designed to maximise the available space on the exhibition floor,” said Jim Delahunty, CEO, Exhibition Hire / Expo Hire.
“We had just over three weeks to design, source and build the entire structure and it’s a testament to our team’s expertise and dedication that such a complex custom project was completed in such a short timeframe.”
As the major exhibition supplier for AIME 2009, Exhibition Hire / Expo Hire was tasked with building more than 35 custom and upgrade stands, including a second double storey stand for Malaysia Airlines and a distinctive exhibit for Hilton Sydney.
Designed to resemble the award-winning hotel’s new reception area, the custom stand included a raised floor, designer lighting and a unique multi-level overhead feature that attracted its share of admirers at AIME 2009.
“There is no limit to what can be achieved with a fully custom designed and built stand and AIME was an excellent platform for Exhibition Hire / Expo Hire to demonstrate the capabilities of its project managers, designers and production staff,” said Delahunty.
The premier exhibition in the Southern Hemisphere for the meetings and incentives industry, AIME 2009, 17-18 February, attracted a record 868 exhibitors and 3,584 trade visitors.
