Visit Baltimore enters into Premier Partnership with PCMA

pcmaThe Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) recently welcomed Visit Baltimore as PCMA's newest Premier Partner.

"I'm very impressed with what's happening in Baltimore.  Their sales are going through the roof and the innovation we're seeing bodes well for the future," said Deborah Sexton, PCMA President and CEO.

"With the infrastructure improvements and their strategic location with a solid attendee base for most any event, I expect to see more great things out of Baltimore. Their support of our members, I hope, will give them a leg up in welcoming some of the biggest and best events to Baltimore."

As PCMA's newest Premier Partner, Visit Baltimore will help present today's acknowledged thought leaders through the popular PCMA Masters Series program.

Also, Baltimore will offer support to Chapters through the PCMA Education Foundation's Best in Class program which provides top-rated speakers to Chapters on a complimentary basis, helping PCMA Chapters to deliver world-class education.

Baltimore will also participate in presenting the PCMA Education Foundation Partnership Summit which gathers the highest level leaders in the meetings industry for networking and education focused on the future of our industry.

"As both Visit Baltimore and the city as a whole continue to seek additional ways to reinforce our commitment to the advancement of the meetings industry and our dedication to superior customer experiences, we think it's important to partner with other innovative leaders within the industry," said Tom Noonan, Visit Baltimore president and CEO.

"We value the commitment and leadership PCMA provides to meeting and event professionals and welcome the opportunity to introduce its members to the strengths of Baltimore as a meetings destination."

"Tom Noonan and Amy Calvert, Visit Baltimore's vice president of convention sales and services, are not only great supporters of PCMA," added Sexton, "but they understand our members, what they want and need, and are prepared to deliver for meeting professionals."

Visit Baltimore is the new name of the former Baltimore Area Convention and Visitors Association (BACVA).

This strategic step is being taken along with other key initiatives such as extending relationships and forming deeper partnerships with organizations such as PCMA. "Both are smart moves that will better position Baltimore in an increasingly competitive marketplace," added Noonan.

PCMA offers mutually beneficial partnerships at varying levels: Strategic Partner, Premier Partner, Communication Partner, Event Partner and Affinity Partner.
