Meeting Mentor, the quarterly custom publication for senior meeting professionals, will be produced for Conference Direct starting in 2010, Publisher Peter Shure announced last week.
The immediate benefit will be a 20% circulation increase-to 12,000-with no increase in advertising rates.
Response Custom Publishing (RCP) will also develop a monthly online newsletter for distribution by ConferenceDirect's 300-person sales network.
The magazine will also continue to be circulated to the proprietary database of Hinton and Grusich, a leading hotel representation firm, as well as 700 "Planner Members" of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE).
"The Recession and painful cuts in marketing budgets require marketers to demonstrate a greater Return-On-Investment (ROI)," noted Shure. "The unique distribution channel comprised of Conference Direct's 300-plus sales associates will offer advertisers a more measurable ROI."
"Meeting Mentor has become a 'must-read' publication for senior planners," said Brian Stevens, CEO of ConferenceDirect, a full-service meeting planning company that provides site selection and contract negotiation, as well as registration and housing solutions. "The companion e-newsletter supports our sales network with a truly-integrated marketing package."
RCP has published Meeting Mentor for Experient (formerly Conferon Global Services) since 2002. The upcoming Fall issue features an exclusive article on release of "The Invisible Industry Revisited," a 10-minute CD featuring video from the one-hour documentary aired by PBS stations in 1992. The video will be available from RCP (pshure@responsepub.com) in late July.
