In the center of the vibrant buzz of Fashion Week in New York, McNabb Roick Events has been selected to design a Spring infused installation, incorporating Bryant Park's historic fountain within the main tent.
This design is the centerpiece of the main entrance lobby kicking off the Spring Collection for 2010.
The design called for McNabb Roick Events to bring in over 1400 fresh cut heads of Dutch Hydrangea and more than 25000 individual Galax leaves reflecting the colors and essence of Spring.
The cascading Hydrangeas spill over the rim of the upper fountain tier, simulating water which flows into the lower pool of lush green leaves.
The designed support structure for the floral was fitted within the upper fountain pool fixing in place a cascading wire frame cut to shape.
This ensured the Hydrangea were secured and allowed access for hydration and maintenance through out the week.
The approach behind this year's installation was to provide a commercial free oasis within the many other branded exhibits, surrounding the main lobby from all sides.
This season's Fashion Week Luggage theme represents the eventual move to Lincoln Centre.
In keeping with this theme, McNabb Roick Events included luggage items provided by MCM - styled in three individual vignettes in the lower pool.
The travel cases were incorporated below three free-standing plasma screens, which were streaming the runway shows taking place throughout the venue of Fashion Week in Bryant Park September 10th - 17th 2009.
