HelmsBriscoe, a global leader of independent site selection and RFP services for the meetings business, announced its support of the Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Foundation "25 Years of Giving" campaign.
HelmsBriscoe has committed to a five‐year program, which initially includes creating 25 scholarships for meeting planners to attend the MPI World Education Conference annually.
HelmsBriscoe financial support will also be applied toward scholarships for CMM and CMP Professional Certification and MPI Membership Scholarships.
"We are honored to work with MPI to provide scholarships for members who want to take full advantage of the association's opportunities and resources," said HelmsBriscoe Founder and CEO Roger Helms.
"During a time when company reimbursements of industry memberships and conferences are significantly down, we are happy to do our part to help meeting planners continue to advance their careers."
The annual scholarships will enable numerous meeting planners to attend the World Education Conference who otherwise would not have the financial means to cover the conference registration cost. MPI has established an internal committee to award the scholarships based on a review of all applications received.
HelmsBriscoe has a long standing relationship with MPI, with numerous HelmsBriscoe associates serving in chapter and committee leadership positions.
