Groups International LLC unveiled iGroupPlanner, a fully automated Web-based end-to-end solution designed for small, mid-size and large meetings and events.
Using a Web site interface over a secure network, iGroupPlanner creates an environment that enables both professional, non-professional meeting and event planners and event promoters to communicate and conduct business with hotel sales staff, hotel National Sales Offices (NSOs), Convention and Visitors Bureaus (CVBs), venues and vendors all within the same platform.
This environment also sets the stage for the integration of group air, group car, group bus, and group tickets and attractions.
"iGroupPlanner goes well beyond a conventional Request for Proposal (RFP) tool," said Chris Wenz, COO, Partner and Co-Founder of Groups International.
"iGroupPlanner is "high-touch" on the front end and intuitively manages the transaction's life cycle to include meeting and event development, distribution, contracting, housing, event registration and accounting."
He concluded, "A meeting planner or event promoter will now have all of these services bundled into one online solution."
iGroupPlanner will be made available to those who plan meetings and events as well as those who are tasked with planning social and leisure group events all with the assistance of a Group Travel Expert(tm) as provided by the Company.
"Our vision was to create an online solution that would change the way managed and unmanaged group movements were communicated, connected and converted. That vision is iGroupPlanner," said Tom Costello, CEO, Partner and Co-Founder of Groups International.
"We have been in discussions with professional planners, industry consultants and the major hotel brands over the past year and all suggest that we are on the right track with iGroupPlanner," said Costello.
Groups International is estimating the release of iGroupPlanner into public beta in the first quarter of 2010.
