(GEP), a leading partnership of destination management companies (DMC) worldwide, bolsters its DMC portfolio with the opening of GEP Bahamas.
Based in Nassau, Bahamas, GEP Bahamas will offer the finest in destination management services, specifically focused on corporate meetings and incentive groups.
Current President and CEO of GEP South Florida, Andrew Rosuck, will oversee sales and marketing operations in conjunction with the Nassau based Managing Director, Richard McCombe and a team of ten full time employees.
While a separate entity, GEP Bahamas is an extension of the successful GEP South Florida
operation, which has been serving groups in the Greater South Florida area for over five years.
Rosuck states, “Through the many groups we serve in South Florida we saw an opportunity for a DMC with strong customer service, detailed operating guidelines, and a financially secure corporate structure. Given that the current GEP South Florida
team combined has over 30 years of extensive knowledge and experience working in the Bahamian market, opening a local office was a natural step for the growth of our companies.”
Rosuck came to GEP South Florida
with over seven years of onsite experience at The Atlantis Paradise Island and Ocean Club and served two years at Driftwood Hospitality in Nassau, Paradise Island and Grand Bahamas.
McCombe joins GEP Bahamas with over 23 years experience in the Bahamian Hospitality Industry. His experiences have included management of and part ownership in numerous excursion businesses in the Bahamas such as, Blue Lagoon Island, Stingray City and Divers Haven.
Additionally, McCombe and his partners started the first full service Bahamian owned Destination Management Company, Paragon Bahamas Ltd.
McCombe is active in the local community and has served on numerous service organizations including, Chairman of Nassau Tourism and Development Board and Rotary International District Governor for Rotary District 7020 for the term 2007-2008.
The experienced sales team has strong roots servicing groups on the island. Marlene Jacoby
has over 8 years and David Cohen has over 15 years of experience.
