In an effort to capitalize on the growing golf industry and lure more golfers to Jamaica, Glamour Destination Management is now a member of the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO).
As a member of the IAGTO, Glamour Destination Management
will now have a greater presence in the golf tourism industry, aligning itself with the best golf tour operators and golf travel writers in the world.
In addition, the company can now make a greater outreach to a wider cross-section of golf tour operators worldwide to promote Jamaica as a golf destination.
“Glamour Destination Management
is pleased to be apart of such a notable association,” said Rachel Anderson, the company’s director with responsibility for business expansion.
“We recognize that Jamaica is well poised to gain a larger share of the international golf market and as such our joining IAGTO will enable us to bring more attention to Jamaica as a golf destination,” Ms. Anderson continued.
This move comes on the heels of Jamaica affirming its position as a premier golf destination after being honoured Golf Destination of the Year for the Caribbean and Latin America at the recently held International Golf Travel Market (IGTM) in Malaga, Spain.
Glamour Destination Management
is also the official ground handlers for Half Moon
, the luxury resort located in Rose Hall, Jamaica, that was named Jamaica’s Leading Golf Resort at the 16th World Travel Awards in London, England.
“Jamaica has excellent golf courses. In fact, the oldest golf course in the Western Hemisphere is found in Jamaica. Our main objective is to have more golfers visit the destination and experience these undulating greens for themselves,” Ms. Anderson said.
“Glamour is well able to facilitate arrangements for groups, meetings and events and provide transportation as needed,” she added.
