Travel Motives DMC - South Africa has officially appointed Karina Vilanova of KV Consulting as their Argentinean Sales Representative.
"Karina was referred to us and I immediately placed a Skype call to her and was on a plane a week later to sign her up. It is not often that you meet someone in this industry in whom you feel instantly confident and I was not going to allow her to sign with anyone else!" said Collette Hoppé, General Manager of Travel Motives Inbound Division.
Karina Vilanova has been in the hospitality industry since 1991 after graduating with a BS in Hotel Management from Florida International University in Miami.
She started her career with Occidental Hotels in the south of Spain, and after two years joined Hyatt International where she held a variety of positions over an eight-year period.
In 1999 Karina was transferred to Buenos Aires and for the last four years has been representing and promoting hotels in Argentina and Brazil, as well as providing consulting services for new ventures and ongoing projects.
Travel Motives DMC had earmarked South America (and particularly Argentina) as a key producer for the South African inbound incentive industry and in order to maximize this demand required the services of a fulltime in-country sales partner.
"With the recent announcement of the direct SAA flights into Buenos Aires, the appointment of Karina could not have been better orchestrated", concluded Hoppe.
