Three "insider tips" of the German meetings and conventions industry can look forward to free space at the GCB stand.

This year the GCB German Convention Bureau e.V. will again offer three providers of the German meetings and convention industry free space at "IMEX - incorporating Meetings made in Germany" through its Wild Card programme.

The Wild Card will allow them to exhibit at the GCB's Germany stand. From 30 May to 1 June 2006 the Münchner Künstlerhaus, the 54 Grad Nord network and Fuchs congress + incentive gmbh will be able to present their offerings to a large trade audience for the first time.

Service providers from the meeting hotel, event and tourism industry of the Fischland-Darß-Zingst region in northern Mecklenburg have joined forces in the 54 Grad Nord network to offer meeting planners a one-stop service. Their offerings range from events in stylish hotels through exciting incentive ideas and unusual venues - such as the Pomeranian bodden nature reserve or the picturesque Baltic sea coastline.

Anne Horstmann, co-ordinator of 54 Grad Nord: "For us the GCB Wild Card is a great chance to present the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula as a meeting destination with its beautiful Baltic locations and professional team, and make it from insider tip to best seller."

Peter Grassinger, president of Münchner Künstlerhaus is also delighted about winning the GCB Wild Card and sees it as a great benefit, since the eyes of the international congress and meetings world will be on the venue at IMEX. The central Münchner Künstlerhaus offers space of 40 to 400 square metres for meetings, conventions and events with up to 1,000 people.

The venue with a tradition of 100 years, was once the meeting place of artists and the upper classes. In the elegant setting of a historic landmark building guests can now enjoy exquisite cuisine in Lutter & Wegner restaurant.

Another free exhibition space at the GCB stand went to the incentive and convention agency Fuchs congress + incentive gmbh, founded in 1994.

The agency markets Dresden as a destination and organises social programmes and evening events, presenting the city in all its facets with a focus on the art treasures, attractions, people and special hallmarks of the Saxon metropolis.
