Home

Visit London and its partners have created some unique and unusual ideas for the corporate festive season.

From a Snow Ball to a Festive Theme Park, ice skating to a Medieval Banquet. Featured on www.visitlondon.com/business each idea is presented under the following headings;

Private Parties, Themed Parties and Shared Parties allowing companies the opportunity create their own private event with imaginative themes, food and drink or to join parties already organised to meet other festive groups.

Some of the highlights include:

A 1940’s Snow Ball in Belgravia at the prestigious surroundings of Forbes House, or a 30’s, 40’s or 50’s themed film set of the Aviator, Casablanca or the Third Man at the Imperial War Museum, where the party takes place inside a full sized film set.

London is renowned for its huge number of temporary outdoor ice-rinks that open pre-Xmas. Rinks for 2005 will be located in the gardens of the Natural History Museum, plus one in the old moat of the historic Tower of London.

These join regular fixtures at Kew Gardens, Somerset House and Hampton Court Palace where they are also holding their own Ghost Tours including the infamous Haunted Gallery in Henry VIII’s State Apartments.

Winter-wonderland themed Christmas parties are being hosted in one of London’s most famous football clubs, Chelsea FC.

A traditional Victorian Christmas with carollers, mince pies, dinner and dancing is available from Ponti’s this festive season.

British Airways London Eye is offering winter Pimms flights with homemade chocolate truffles served in a private pod with its own host and various cruising companies are turning the river Thames into a party scene with special festive celebrations.

Hampton Court Palace is also the scene of a real festive treat – the chance to participate in real Tudor cookery as huge roasting fires give a taste of Tudor life. A team of history chefs will experiment with recipes, ingredients and cooking methods to prepare a feast fit for a king.

Barbara Jamison, Sales Manager Europe of Visit London commented: “Once again, Visit London and its partners are offering endless ideas for Xmas celebrations, many of which run well into January.
