Tourism Vancouver's flagship Touristinfo Centre at 200 Burrard Street, opposite the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre, has just introduced its first airline check-in kiosk. The kiosk will allow visitors flying on WestJet to check-in for their flight, print boarding passes and reserve seats prior to transferring to Vancouver International Airport. Plans are underway to service additional airlines in the future.

 

Convention Centre Expansion Adds More Public Space

 

British Columbia's provincial government has approved a funding increase of CAD $50 million to the budget of the Vancouver Convention Centre Expansion Project. While half will cover an increase in construction costs, the other half will go towards additional public amenities recommended during the project's permit approval process. These include more accessible outdoor and plaza space, and added commercial and waterfront developments.
