The Radisson SAS Hotel in Amman Jordan, which was struck by a bomb blast on Wednesday evening, November 9, is in nearly full operation as the hotel staff works with authorities on the aftermath of this tragedy.

Philadelphia Hall, the banquet room where the blast occurred, was the most severely damaged part of the hotel.

Hotel authorities report that the damage was primarily restricted to a low-rise banquet and conference area of the hotel. The main guestroom areas and other public spaces were not severely impacted.

The exact number of casualties from the blast has still not been determined as this information is being gathered by the local officials. All casualties were among those attending a wedding reception where the blast occurred. One hotel employee, a banquet server, has been confirmed as a fatality of this incident.

Immediately following the blast, the hotel mobilized its management and employees to assist the victims and support rescue workers. They also provided special guest services throughout the night.

The hotel continues to work closely with investigators and with other hotels in the city with regard to heightened security.
