The Trade Show Exhibitors Association (TSEA) has awarded its Certified Manager of Exhibits (CME®) designation to Nancy Hoppe, Associate Director, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, Sylvia Gross, Trade Show Manager, ITT Industries, and Harris Schanhaut, Manager, Events Marketing, American Express.

 

Nancy Hoppe is currently Associate Director, Global Congress and Convention Management, and has been with Wyeth Pharmaceuticals for six years. During her tenure at Wyeth, Nancy has managed and planned U.S. Conventions and Global Congresses for the following therapy areas: infectious disease, oncology/hematology, vaccines, transplantation, and gastrointestinal.

 

In 2002, Hoppe participated in Six Sigma Practitioner and Leadership training classes and was one of the first groups at Wyeth to successfully complete a Business Process Excellence project, “Convention and Congress Consolidation.”

 

Sylvia Gross is the trade show manager for ITT’s Aerospace/Communications Division, which has field offices in California, New Jersey, and the United Kingdom. She has also been the designated “lead” trade show manager for all the ITT Defense group’s international shows, and Gross also lead her division for domestic and international trade shows focused on the defense market.

 

Gross has produced exhibits in the Middle East, Western Europe, Asia, and Singapore, and has drawn praise from the Chief of Staff of the Army, the NASA Administrator and senior executives from Northrop Grumman, Ball Aerospace, and Lockheed Martin.

 

Harris Schanhaut has been managing events for over twenty years in diverse industries including automotive, medical, travel, technology and manufacturing. He currently works as an Events Marketing Manager at American Express Global Corporate Services, and has been a speaker at industry events since 2003.

 

He is currently part of a cross-functional committee to develop national RFI standards. Schanhaut is also co-chair for Meeting Professionals International's Greater New York Chapter, within the Strategic Partnership Committee, and is on the board of directors of the Event and Exhibition Industry Audit Council.
