Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh arrived at The National Trade Centre at Exhibition Place on October 9th, 2002 for the “Festival of Ontario” which honoured Her Majesty’s Golden Jubilee Celebration.

The Royal Party embarked on a walking tour of The National Trade Centre, which featured exhibits, demonstrations and performances, illustrating Ontario’s achievements throughout the past 50 years of the Queen’s reign.

The National Trade Centre was chosen as the venue for this event so that the diversity and tremendous accomplishments of the people of Ontario could be brought together at one time under one roof.
