Tom Corcoran, President, Corcoran/Conferon Expositions, has been awarded the Pinnacle Award by The International Association for Exhibition Management (IAEM) for 2005.

This award is IAEM’s highest honor and will be presented at the IAEM annual meeting and exhibition being held at the Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta, GA, Nov. 29–Dec. 1. Corcoran will also be honored at a special reception on Nov. 30.

According to IAEM, the Pinnacle Award is presented in recognition of extraordinary achievement in the exhibition management field.

The award is granted to individuals who continue to further IAEM’s objectives of advancing exhibition management through the promotion of education, the dissemination of knowledge and the introduction or development of innovative techniques, and who have been dedicated to the perpetuation of the highest ideals, trust, and professionalism in this highly specialized field.

“We are proud to see our longtime friend and business partner receive this prestigious award,” said Bruce Harris, CMP, President, Conferon Global Services.

“Tom’s commitment to this industry and to his clients as well as his unquestioned integrity are just some of the reasons behind this recognition.”

Corcoran founded Corcoran and Associates, Inc., in 1990 and created a joint venture with Conferon in 1998, forming Corcoran/Conferon Expositions LLC (CCE) to market trade shows. The company produces more than 40 tradeshows annually for a variety of industries.

Corcoran has been named by EXPO magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in tradeshows and was recognized by The Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame in 1995.

His company has been identified by Tradeshow Week as one of the Top 10 Leading Show Organizers.
