Thomas Hannah and Associates (THA) and Q Group have merged to form THA Group, an award winning marketing communications agency with a total group turnover of £36million.

The new agency has 137 staff and has offices in Leicester, London, Brussels and Denver, Colorado.  The new group turnover ranks it at fourth in Conference and Incentive Travel magazine's annual agency survey (published February 2006).

Nick Robinson, director of the THA Group said: "Although since our inception in 1991, THA has enjoyed significant growth we felt that to achieve our wider business goals now the company is established, it made more sense to embark on a programme of acquisition and merger rather than rely on organic growth alone. We chose the Q Group because the companies had natural synergies, with Q offering services not in the THA portfolio and a client base that was non competitive.

"The merger will have a positive impact on our staff and our clients. The companies have collaborated in the past and now that the relationship has been formalised we are offering our clients even more diversity in our services with further strength in depth and talent in our personnel.

"A new board has been appointed with significant internal promotions. They will now spend a period of time to plan the strategy and integration of the group, although with the two Leicestershire based offices less than 6 miles apart we are hoping that the move into one headquarters will be exciting and pain free."

The merger took place on Friday 17th March 2006.
