The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre (QEIICC), London's prestigious purpose-built conference centre in the heart of Westminster, has appointed Fiona Duffin as marketing communications manager. Fiona joins the Centre on a one-year contract.

In her new role, Fiona will be responsible for the marketing and PR strategy for the Centre which achieved record sales in the last financial year, up 18 percent to £9.263 million in 2003/04.

Fiona will oversee the promotion of the QEII Conference Centre to both domestic and international markets and manage the QEIICC brand. Her responsibilities include promoting events at the Centre as well as managing and developing the Centre's website, PR and advertising activities. She will also oversee the market research programme and the development of service literature and promotional materials.

Fiona joins the QEII Conference Centre from Ealing Parks & Countryside Service where she was marketing and promotions manager responsible for building an effective marketing strategy for the service and promoting the service to the media. Fiona has several years experience of working in both marketing and PR roles across a diverse range of service sectors and is a chartered marketer and full member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (MCIM).
