The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre (QEIICC), London’s most prestigious purpose built centre for professional meetings and events, has announced the addition of three new members of staff to their highly skilled team.

Paul Hewitt has been appointed as facilities executive and will oversee the management of health and safety within the Centre. Having previously worked for CB Richard Ellis and Overbury Plc, Paul sees this move to The QEIICC as a ‘great opportunity in terms of responsibility and career progression’.

Paul has invested heavily in his career and most recently completed the Nebosh General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, and views his new position at The QEIICC as an excellent platform to continue his studies and apply his knowledge.

Adam Lewis has recently joined the Centre as executive head of HR, having previously worked as HR manager in the Home Office. Looking forward to working as part of the team, Adam will be working on a number of specific projects, one in particular involving all employees at the Centre.

This move provides Adam with a great opportunity to get to know new faces in addition to being involved in the day to day business of the Centre

Grant Sorrell has joined The QEIICC permanently as account manager for in house caterers Leith’s and will be responsible for fulfilling clients’ food and drink requirements for their events. Having worked at Leith’s for two years, he has the knowledge and experience to make this step to account manager level.

Grant comments, ‘I came to The QEIICC temporarily in 2004, but something about the people and the place made me stay until a suitable full time position became available. I am looking forward to experiencing the events from the front rather than from my usual spot behind the scenes.’

Chief executive at The QEIICC, Ernest Vincent comments I regard the appointments of Paul, Adam and Grant as pivotal in the continual development at the Centre. As a premier venue, recruitment over several departments has built on the skills we have internally and enables us to provide clients with the optimum service possible. I look forward to working with them all in the future.”
