The Convention Industry Council International Manual joins the list of recommended study guides for the CMP examination in addition to its comprehensive reference for all meeting professionals. The highly anticipated International Manual is now available for purchase on CIC’s website, www.conventionindustry.org The International Manual is a study guide for CMP candidates, and is a terrific resource to all event professionals. Recognizing the industry’s international growth, CIC created the first International Manual to take the mystique out of international event planning and provide a reference guide. The Convention Industry Council International Manual is a supplement to The CIC Manual 7th Edition, paralleling the format, and highlighting terms and techniques used in the global stage. It is used to develop questions for future CMP exams, starting in January 2006, and joins the list of recommended study references for candidates preparing for the CMP examination. The International Manual also includes a self-test section at the end of each chapter contributing to individuals’ CMP recertification points. All Conclave attendees were given a complementary copy of the new manual. The CIC International Manual was written by a team of industry leaders with extensive knowledge and experience in the international arena. The CIC greatly appreciates the contributions of the writers who made the manual possible.
