This summer the congress center and hotel completed a 10 million euro makeover project which stated 2,5 years ago. As Budapest is moving quickly up the ladder of becoming a very popular congress and event destination the completion of this project comes at an excellent time. The International Conference & Convention Association (ICCA) ranks Budapest on place 8 now of most popular convention cities. At the Budapest Congress Center and Novotel the team has launched their “extraordinary service” program. The focus on the guest is central in this concept and translates into extra care for the guests during their entire stay. The “extraordinary service” is expected in the small details at unexpected moments when a problem is anticipated so that it can be solved before it actually becomes a problem. With the makeover have come new facilities such high speed wireless access everywhere in the complex, new audiovisual equipments, modern restaurants and lounge, a 300 m2 wellness – fitness center and all 319 rooms have been renewed, now all equipped with LCD TVs and a modern Novation design. For the management and care of booking requests the Budapest Congress & WTC has introduced a “one stop shop” sales concept giving the event organizers one main contact who takes care of all their needs from A – Z. This sales approach has lead to recognition within the Accor group to which the hotel and congress center belong. It recently was chosen Best Meeting Incentive Convention and Event Hotel among the 4000 Accor hotels worldwide. The “one stop shop” approach is also applied when the demand for hotel rooms exceed the capacity. As Accor hotels offer 3300 rooms in Budapest an event can be organized in the Budapest Congress & WTC with all participants staying in these hotels which makes planning and organization a lot easier.
