The annual awards ceremony is held in mid-January, this year at the San Marco Village, Antwerp, Belgium. It seeks to recognise and reward professionals in the meetings industry and this year’s event was attended by 90 MPI members, non-members and invited international guests. Facing stiff competition from two other agencies, the ‘Planner of the Year 2006’ award was given to THA Nikitra’s managing director, Tina Joris. Tina was commended for always looking for new pathways to develop the meeting and incentive experiences as well as the efficient and effective team management to ensure the success of client events.
