TBA Global Events announced that part of its company restructure includes the appointment of Eric Thorson to its executive team.

 

Effective Nov. 7, Thorson is named executive vice president and chief financial officer. In his new post, Thorson will oversee all financial operations of TBA Global Events including accounting, financial reporting and analysis, treasury and human resources.

 

Thorson replaces Peter Pastor as CFO and Pastor will move to executive vice president of administration.

 

Prior to joining TBA Global Events, Eric Thorson was vice president, corporate controller for Panavision, Inc where he was responsible for controllership, treasury, financial planning and analysis, as well as financial reporting.

 

He has held other senior financial management positions with companies such as Key3Media Group, Ticketmaser, and Braniff Airlines.

 

In his new position, Pastor will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of IT within the company. This includes systems integration and development, internal standards and efficiencies, and facility management.

 

In addition, Pastor will oversee the Fair & Festivals Entertainment division working closely with senior management on projects.

 

TBA Global Events ranks number two in the top 50 event planning companies (Special Events Magazine, September 2005). The company recently restructured into four unique business units: Strategic Events/Meeting Planning Services, Destination Management, Consumer Marketing and Fairs & Festivals Entertainment.
