The Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre has appointed Amanda Anker as its new Director of Marketing and Sales.

Ms Anker has 20 years’ experience in marketing and services. Most recently she was based in Paris as the European Marketing Director for the leading occupational health and safety product manufacturer, Bacou-Dalloz.

She has also held marketing and sales positions with Dalloz Safety Asia Pacific and Bilsom Australia.

Ms Anker holds a Master of Business from the University of Technology, Sydney and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Sydney.

She will replace Beverley Parker who has moved to Sofitel Hotels and Resorts.

Announcing the appointment, Centre Chief Executive Ton van Amerongen said Ms Anker would bring a wealth of marketing knowledge and professionalism to the Centre.

“Amanda’s work outside the business events arena and her exposure to international markets will bring a fresh perspective to our organisation at this time of increasing competition, ” Mr van Amerongen said.
