The Sydney Convention and Visitors Bureau (SCVB) and the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre have announced the appointment of Sinead Yeo to head their new joint Hong Kong office.

Ms Yeo will take up the new position of Business Development Manager in Hong Kong on October 18.

The SCVB and the Centre have identified Asia as a major source of incentive and corporate meetings, with bookings from the region increasing significantly in recent years.

Ms Yeo’s responsibilities will encompass representation of the two bodies in the region, liaison with clients and market development.

Ms Yeo has held the position of Market Development Manager for Tourism New South Wales’s Singapore office since 1999, and has worked in public relations.
