StarCite, Inc., provider of innovative Web-based technologies and services for the $300 billion global meetings and events industry, has been named one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the 10-county Philadelphia region. StarCite ranks 17th in its debut on the 2004 Philadelphia 100(R) list.

The Philadelphia 100 is a business ranking and event that has been honoring the fastest growing, privately held companies in the Greater Philadelphia area for 16 years. It is a project of the Entrepreneurs' Forum of Greater Philadelphia, Philadelphia Business Journal and the Wharton Small Business Development Center. The SBDC oversees data collection and list compilation. Rankings are based on revenue growth over the past three years.

"The companies on the Philadelphia 100 list are the champions of our economy," said Mark Heil, Managing Director of CereNova Fund Marketing and Co-Chair of this year's event. "The average annual sales growth of this year's winners is an amazing 365 percent," he added.

The honor marks the second time in as many months that StarCite has garnered an award. Last month, InfoCommerce Group named StarCite's Online Marketplace a "Model of Excellence." The leading provider of consulting and research to publishers of commercial databases selected StarCite as one of 50 innovative, exemplary World Wide Web-based products.

"We are so proud to be recognized for both our sales growth and innovative business platform," said John Pino, Founder and CEO of StarCite, Inc. "Since our launch nearly five years ago, StarCite's mission has been to deliver the most comprehensive, innovative solutions to the meetings and events industry. Our growing customer base is validating our technology and business process expertise. But it is rewarding to receive such external recognition of our technology and business model."

StarCite Named Model of Excellence

InfoCommerce Group editors selected StarCite's Online Marketplace as one of 50 products that provide stellar examples of how business publishers are seizing new opportunities offered by the real-time integrative characteristics of the Web.

"StarCite blends an information database with the power of an online marketplace and offers users real productivity benefits, encouraging them to integrate StarCite into their daily workflow," said Russell Perkins, InfoCommerce Group CEO. "In short, it's a textbook example of infocommerce in action."
