SeaDream Incentives Beat A Gold Watch

SeaDream Yacht Club that operates the boutique cruise ships SeaDream I and SeaDream II, says a recent conversation overheard aboard SeaDream II in the Mediterranean highlighted a growing niche market for the two mega motor-cruisers.

When a guest was asked if it was his first cruise aboard the ship, he replied: “Yes, the company gave it to me as a long-service reward... it sure beats a gold watch.”

SeaDream Yacht Club President and CEO, Larry Pimentel said such gifts were becoming more and more popular amongst companies wanting to reward employees for long service or particular jobs or projects well done.

“Most consider Incentive Travel to be part of the marketing tool or a reward for achieving particular targets or goals, but we’re finding growing numbers of corporations booking personnel aboard for a whole range of reasons beyond this, not the least being long service or individual achievement.”

Mr Pimentel said it made a lot of sense because it rewarded dedicated staff and because corporations knew there would no unexpected financial nasties at the end of the sailing – as all onboard gourmet dining, drinks from the bars, wines with meals, a golf simulator, all sail and power watersports, and even gratuities were included in the voyage price.

Agents or corporations interested in considering SeaDream I or II for either individual or small group rewards or incentives in the Mediterranean during the Northern Summer and in the Caribbean during the winter, should contact Julie Denovan on (02) 9958 4444, jdenovan@seadreamyachtclub.com.au or check out www.seadream.com
