The Sandton Convention Centre was up against some stiff international competition with the Ovation Group, Ireland winning the award and Quebec City Convention Centre, Canada, coming third. “We were delighted to have come second in such a prestigious international award. Over the past two years Sandton Convention Centre has positioned itself locally and internationally as a premier conference, exhibition and special events venue and we will continue to remain a major role player in promoting business tourism to Johannesburg and South Africa,” says Anton Post, deputy executive director of Sandton Convention Centre.
