Few in the industry were surprised when the Board of Directors of the PRCB unanimously chose Ana Mara Viscasillas as the President and CEO of the Bureau. She has held several positions in the Bureau during her ten years with that organization, most recently as its Vice President of Marketing.

Ana Maria is extremely respected in the Tourism Community in Puerto Rico, where she has served as a board member of the Puerto Rico Hotel and Tourism Association, the Hotel Sales and Marketing Association International Foundation, and the International Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management from Michigan State University’s College of Business, a master’s in Business Administration from Inter American University in Puerto Rico and she has also done postgraduate work at the Ecole Hoteliere de la Societe Suisse des Hoteliers in Lausanne, Switzerland.
