The élite of the This year’s coveted Platinum Award was won by agency P&MM for creating a dealer drive programme for the Land Rover Discovery 3. The project involved the co-ordination of 35 rotations of 64 delegates – a 2,360-strong audience from 52 countries.
In addition to the Platinum Award, the programme received Gold Awards in the Automotive, Aerospace & Marine category, as well as Best Use of Logistics and Best Overseas Event (Short Haul). P&MM also collected a Gold Award on behalf of client Jaguar in the Best Promotional Communication category. Among the other stars of the night, The Grass Roots Group shone in four categories, winning the FMCG & Healthcare Award as well as Best Overseas Event (Long Haul) on behalf of Coca-Cola Enterprises. The agency also collected Golds in the Media & Entertainment Travel & Leisure category for client MGN and Best Incentive Travel ( 02 ( Citigate Broadstreet won two Gold Awards for client T.Mobile: in the categories Best Use of a Venue’s Facilities and Best UK Event. The TFI Group also scored a double: on behalf of Canon Europe the agency collected Golds in the Consumer Durables & Technology category and Best Product Launch. This year the ITMA granted two discretionary awards: The ITMA Special Award was presented to The George P Johnson Company for creating a celebratory event which was the culmination of The Unilever International Schools Art Project. The Max Cuff Award, named after the late founder and former Secretary General of the ITMA, is granted to individuals who have made an exceptional contribution to the events and motivation industry. For 2005 it was awarded to HR Consultant Grania Sweeting, for her research into staff turnover amongst major The ITMA Awards, held in association with Conference & Incentive Travel magazine, brought together leading corporate event organisers to celebrate excellence in the planning and management of live communications events. In addition to the prized Platinum and the two discretionary awards, Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards were presented in 19 categories differentiated by client industry sector and specific skills.
