The Professional Convention Management Association and Seattle’s Convention & Visitors Bureau jointly announced that the 2008 PCMA Annual Meeting will be held January 13-16, 2008.

The meeting will be held at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center, which underwent a major expansion three years ago.

Seattle is known for its coffee, culture, and community, but that’s only a fraction of what makes it an ideal meeting site,” says PCMA President & CEO Deborah Sexton. “It’s a major business hub and home to some of the country’s finest restaurants and hotels.”

She added that this will be PCMA’s first annual meeting in Seattle.

“We’re thrilled that PCMA has selected Seattle for its prestigious annual convention in 2008,” says Steve Morris, President and CEO, Seattle’s Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Seattle’s destination sales team, including the Washington State Convention & Trade Center, our fine hotels, member businesses and Seattle’s Convention and Visitors Bureau, worked hard to win this meeting of influential professional conference managers and supplier partners. We’re excited that PCMA is coming to town and can’t wait to welcome its delegates to our wonderful city.”

PCMA has a commitment to hold its Annual Meeting in all regions of the United States and in Canada on a rotating basis.

The PCMA Annual Meeting will be held in Philadelphia, PA January 8-11, 2006, and in Toronto, Ontario, Canada January 7-10, 2007.
