The Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) has completed its search for a public relations agency, selecting Association Vision, a communications company based in the Washington, DC suburb of Chantilly, Virginia.

Association Vision President Al Rickard, CAE, and Senior Account Executive Alexandra Walsh will provide services on the PCMA account.

“We considered many highly qualified public relations agencies, but Association Vision was the clear choice,” said Sandy Eitel, PCMA director of communications. “The association and meetings industry experience their account team offers, plus the creativity they have demonstrated for a wide range of clients, were key factors in our decision. We believe PCMA has the potential to generate much more press coverage for our initiatives, and we’re confident that Association Vision is the right agency to achieve it.”

Association Vision is already hard at work preparing for the PCMA Annual Meeting in Hawaii in early January, where it will handle press relations with the trade press and local media.

The larger scope of work for PCMA will include developing a strategic public relations plan that will dovetail with the new overall PCMA strategic plan just completed. Association Vision will present its plans to the PCMA Board of Directors at the January meeting.

Other activities will include message development, spokesperson media training, creation of a “Local Action Media Kit” for chapters and members, speechwriting, and a potential PCMA radio program.

“PCMA has a powerful leadership role in the meetings industry, and Association Vision is honored to be chosen as its public relations agency,” Rickard said. “Our team is excited about developing a successful public relations strategy.”

Association Vision is a communications company specializing in public relations, publishing, and marketing consulting for associations. It has served more than 30 associations since it was founded by Rickard more than four years ago. For more information, visit www.associationvision.com.
