John Nawn has joined the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) as Vice President of Education.

 

He has more than 20 years of experience in the training and education industry; specializing in developing learning solutions which map to a company’s overall business strategy.

 

"Education is the cornerstone of PCMA. John will help our organization continue to fulfill this primary objective for our members. He has the track record and enthusiasm necessary to keep PCMA’s education initiatives the best in the meetings industry," says PCMA President & CEO Deborah Sexton.

 

Prior to joining PCMA, John led the for-profit education functions for several global high-tech and healthcare organizations.

 

'Now more than ever, business success depends on high-quality performance, and high-quality performance depends on high-quality training and education. My goal is to make sure that PCMA members are prepared to lead their organizations into the future," says Nawn. 

 

John is a board member of the Chicagoland Chapter of the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD) and hosts an annual conference for executive level learning professionals.

 

He has also served as adjunct faculty for the University of Chicago and Northwestern Medical Schools.
