Bill Davidson, the Managing Director of AAV's Staging Connections has announced the appointment of Paul Kenny as the event services group’s International Director - Creative.

 

At Staging Connections Paul will work with Bill Davidson to develop the creative direction of the business as it expands both locally and internationally.

 

He will also provide invaluable mentoring and leadership to creative staff across the group which has over 900 full time employees across Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and China.

 

"Paul is a tremendous addition to the business, and brings a wealth of experience developing communication strategies for local and global clients that are executed using live events,” said Bill Davidson.

 

Paul Kenny began his career in 1977. In 1983 he established Wavelength Corporate Communication, which he later sold to Caribiner, and which was subsequently acquired by Jack Morton Worldwide in 2000.

 

Paul remained CEO of the business until 2003, and retired as Chairman of Jack Morton's Australian business earlier this year.

 

Throughout his career Paul has specialised in developing communication strategies and designing and producing live events for business and government in Australia, New Zealand and Asia. He has developed communication and event strategies for major brands including Qantas, McDonalds and Optus.

 

He led the team that successfully won the pitch to produce the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games, and played a key role in developing the Ceremonies teams for the 2006 Commonwealth Games.

 

Paul also led teams that produced the Australian Government's presence at World Expo 2000 in Hanover, Germany, and the Australian Arts and Entertainment Program at World Expo 2005 in Aichi, Japan.
