Senior Ogden IFC executive, Geoff Donaghy, has been elected to the seven-member Board of the International Association of Congress Centres (AIPC).

 

Brussels-based AIPC is the peak representative body of 142 of the world’s leading meeting facilities in 50 countries, and aims to encourage and recognise excellence in congress centre management worldwide.

 

AIPC’s charter is to assist member venues improve their level of management expertise in areas such as operations, finance, technology, staff development, marketing and client relations.

 

Mr Donaghy is the Managing Director of the Cairns Convention Centre which won AIPC’s Apex Award for the World’s Best Congress Centre in 2004.

 

He is also Chief Executive Officer of Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, another of the 15 major facilities operated by Ogden IFC, the leading venue management company in the Asia Pacific Region.
