Off-Site Connections (OSC), an internationally recognised as a leader in the special event industry operating in the Australasian region for the past 13 years announced their portfolio will be enhanced with the opening of a Macau office from 1 June 2008. OSC’s portfolio of offices includes Australia (Brisbane, Sydney, Gold Coast and Cairns), Singapore and in Greater China with Shanghai and Beijing offices. The OSC China team have already delivered many events and programs in Macau providing complete event solutions from ground transport, day experiences, meeting arrangements and evening events. Managing Director, Peter Kinnane comments that “it is hard not to get excited about the massive development that is taking place in Macau and on the Cotai Strip. I see the Cotai Strip as an exciting emerging stand alone MICE destination offering a unique experience including world class resorts and hotels, international stage productions, exceptional restaurants and much more.” He adds: “With Macau still so new to the MICE market we see it as perfect timing for us to open our operation. We look forward to developing with the region as an international meeting and incentive destination and showcasing the unique Macau experience to our clients”. Off-Site Connections appointed Ms Skye Sherwood as Director of Events, Off-Site Connections Macau, to lead the new team. Skye is relocating from Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) where she was the Regional Account Director for an international marketing communications agency. Skye brings to OSC a wealth of experience in producing international event programs in the media, film, corporate and hospitality industries. Commencing her career in Australia, Skye has a background in marketing & promotions, advertising and corporate events and most recently has been living in the Middle East delivering events in UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Pakistan and the United Kingdom (UK). Skye produced over 60 events last year across the region and looks forward to developing and growing the market in the new and exciting emerging MICE destination of Macau. Skye and her local team in Macau will be working in conjunction with OSC’s China offices in Shanghai and Beijing to deliver events across the Greater China region. Skye’s role as Director of Events will see her working alongside the OSC team designing, creating and managing client events and complete programs, incorporating unique local day and evening experiences. Skye will also be responsible for strategic planning and raising the profile of OSC in Macau.
