The word 'Elysium' is Greek for heavenly place and the Elysium Spa at the Culloden Hotel, Northern Ireland's most exclusive private health Spa, provides a sanctuary of sheer indulgence for both body and mind.

Situated in the estate of the five star Hastings Culloden hotel 4 miles from Belfast, the Elysium has just completed a major upgrade and extension programme at a cost of over 900,000 euro.  

The improvements have included the doubling in size of the Spa Therapies area, incorporating three brand new treatment rooms, pre and post treatment shower rooms, two new dance studios, and Northern Ireland's first dedicated 'Quiet Room'.

Two new fitness suites have also been created, creating more spacious themed workout areas, and there is a new cardiovascular studio with easy access to televisions, radio and CD channels. Elysium Manager, Karen Armstrong is delighted with the changes that have been made and is optimistic about the Elysium's refreshing new look.

Karen comments, "People in Northern Ireland are becoming more discerning in terms of their tastes and expectations and here at the Elysium we wanted to offer our members and the hotel's guests the most advanced equipment and facilities together with a first class service. "The demand for Spa treatments has grown dramatically over the past eighteen months and we therefore knew that this was a key niche market for us to develop."

The Elysium Spa re-opens on Monday 21st October.
