New York’s “Golden Apple” Destination Calendar Now Available To Meeting And Group Business Planners

Sensational spaces, sites and scenery characterize Westchester County, New York's "Golden Apple," as an ideal destination for meetings, group travel and special events.

A new 2007 destination calendar produced by the Westchester County Office of Tourism spotlights many of the county's best hotels, and is available for meeting and group business planners.

Each month of the four-color 2007 "Golden Apple"Calendar  features one of Westchester's first class, group-friendly hotels, including the Castle on the Hudson, the Hilton Rye Town, the Renaissance Westchester, Tarrytown House Estates & Conference Center, and the Westchester Marriott.

Golden Apple icons mark several dates each month. These indicate the county's "golden apple promotional dates," times when the featured hotels will especially welcome groups, and will offer special incentives.

Throughout the year, several of the area's top attractions are also highlighted, including the Lyndhurst Estate, Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts, and the Westchester Broadway Theatre.

"This new calendar is an additional tool to help market Westchester County for group travel and meetings," said Kim Sinistore, Deputy Director of the Westchester County Office of Tourism.  We're sending it out in plenty of time for planners to take advantage of the Golden Apple special dates next year."

The calendar is supplemented by the Westchester County Meeting Planners' Guide, a comprehensive resource providing detailed information on the county's hotels, conference centers, unique event venues, service vendors, and area attractions.
