The Clarion Congress Hotel Prague is the very first hotel in the Czech Republic that was conceived as a congress hotel from the very beginning.

This function was not only decisive for the architectural layout of the hotel and its super-modern technological facilities, but also for the whole range of services and, last but not least, for the accommodations as well.

The first floor of the hotel is meant primarily for hotel operations and the restaurants are located here in addition to the reception and lobby bar. The upper floor is given over to conference spaces and a local coffee bar.

A total of 559 rooms, including luxury suites, are concentrated on the other five storeys of both towers of the complex. These include presidential and honeymoon suites, for example. The Club Lounge with an expanded offering of services, is also located here, exclusively for guests of the executive rooms.

“On March 13th we put the largest hotel complex in the modern history of the Czech hotel industry into operation. Moreover, the Clarion Congress Hotel Prague is currently the largest hotel in the world with the international Clarion brand. The hotel has five hundred and fifty-nine rooms and over two and a half thousand congress or conference spaces. There will also be competition in other areas for current congress centres,” the General Director of CPI Hotels, Jan Kratina, stated.

The first area is undoubtedly the hotel's most modern technical and technological equipment, which includes IP telephony, high-speed Internet, a LAN network solution, PAY TV system, Digital Signage, automatic minibars and AV technology, all adapted to the hotel’s individual requirements.

The hotel is distinguished with a unique design, the main theme of which is the collision of star orbits and space-time conjunctions, and this motif is reflected in the common spaces, restaurants and bars in many lines, material treatments and creative elements.

“The 18 variable rooms and halls, which can be completely adapted to the nature and size of the event, are also influenced by the fields of astronomy and astrology. By modifying the conference rooms up to 23 separate rooms can be made with a total capacity of 2,500 delegates.

Organisers of larger events can thus use a total of 4,000 m2 of conference space,” the Hotel Director, Roman Vacho, explained. “The largest hall with a capacity of 1,600 people and with the height of the ceilings reaching 8 metres can be made into three smaller halls using scenic elements and a moveable roof girder system,” Vacho added.

The hotel will test these spatial layouts, configured for a television broadcast, during April’s TýTý Award presentations.

The Clarion Congress Hotel Prague also offers a wide variety of restaurants and bars, which will prepare local and foreign delicacies for the guests. For moments of rest and relaxation, guests can use the fitness and wellness centre with a cardio-zone, massages, sauna or whirlpool, all under the supervision of specialists.

These services are also supplemented by the Galerie Fénix shopping centre, which is part of the complex.

The hotel also makes use of excellent transport connections on the main arteries to the centre of Prague and the Ruzyně airport. The nearby Prague – Vysočany train station or 25 other mass transit lines with stops at the shopping mall are another unquestionable benefit to the Clarion Congress Hotel. One of the two underground parking levels in the complex with a capacity of over 600 spots is set aside for the use of the hotel guests.

The international Clarion brand name from the Choice Hotels International’s multinational hotel network, which CPI Hotels represents for the Czech and Slovak Republics, was given the highest award for full-service hotel chain in the middle four-star category for the year 2007.

The award was given as part of J.D. Power and Associates’ survey of actual guests in European hotels, who chose from forty-one hotel brands.
