Meeting Professionals International (MPI) announces future host cities for its major educational conferences from 2007 through 2010: Professional Education Conference-North America - New Orleans: January 21-23, 2007 Professional Education Conference-Europe - Copenhagen: March 18 - 20, 2007 - London: TBD, 2008 World Education Congress - Montreal: July 29 - 31, 2007 - Las Vegas: August 10 - 12, 2008 - TBD: 2009 - Vancouver: July 11 - 13, 2010 With the exception of Montreal which was approved in early 2004, these future MPI conference host cities were approved by vote of MPI’s Board of Directors at its Saturday, July 9, 2005 meeting in Miami. The selection process involved deep due diligence that includes a Request for Proposal (RFP) submission/bid; a comprehensive checklist using the Convention Industry Council’s APEX initiatives; and site inspections, as needed; acomparison of available dates against other industry shows and major religious or government holidays; and a business analysis. MPI’s conferences are two-and-a-half-day education and networking events focusing on leadership, personal and professional development, special topic summits and trade shows at the WEC and PEC-NA featuring strong buyer-to-seller ratios.
