The Hong Kong Exhibition & Convention Industry Association (HKECIA), Macau Convention & Exhibition Association (MCEA), and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Dongguan Sub-branch confirm their supports to ITE MICE 2008. the 3rd MICE, Business & Incentive Travel Expo, which will be held from June 12 to 14 at hall 2B of the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).

In recent years Macau’s MICE industry has been enjoying fast growth in parallel with the completion of various facilities, and for the first time MCEA pledges its support.

With nearly 100 members many of them are also active in other cities of Asia, HKECIA renews its support. So had CCPIT of Dongguan, which organizes and hosts missions locally and abroad. They will all help promoting and inviting their members to attend ITE MICE and ITE this year.

ITE&ITE MICE have won wide recognition. The Chief Executive of Hong Kong, Mr. Donald Tsang, has already sent his Message to welcome all participants this year. Initial responses indicate that again senior tourism officials, chairmen of travel associations from abroad will likely be presented in the Travel Expo this year.

Cruise travel is a highlight of ITE&ITE MICE this year. Besides cruise exhibitors, there is also a cruise education corner in halls 2 where relevant background information can be found. Located in the same hall is a new Hong Kong Travel Agents Zone, where exhibitors there can better liaise with their overseas counterparts during the trade days, and better serve individual travelers during the public days.

Buyers and trade visitors, from mainland China and overseas, are invited to apply our Hosted Buyer Program or to pre-register for free admission and other benefits. HKTB, in cooperation with related tourism boards are organizing pre-show tours this year, which will likely be extended to neighboring cities in addition to visiting various attractions in Hong Kong.

ITE MICE is the only MICE travel fair in Asia being held concurrently with an international leisure travel show ITE Hong Kong for synergy, which will be held from June 12 to 15 at halls 1A, B, C and hall 2A of HKCEC. The arrangement is to benefit both exhibitors and visitors.

While ITE MICE, like the mice industry itself, is relatively new, ITE is among Asia’s earliest travel fairs and will be in its 22nd edition this year. Unique to these travel fairs is its highly international profile of exhibitors, nearly 80% of which from outside Hong Kong.
